ENT

Overview

ENT stands for Ear, Nose, and Throat, which is a medical specialty also known as Otolaryngology. Otolaryngologists are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders and conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. They are sometimes referred to as ENT doctors or ENT specialists.

Ear and Nose Conditions and Treatments

Ear Disorders

ENT doctors diagnose and treat various ear conditions, including hearing loss, ear infections, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), balance disorders, and ear trauma. They can also perform surgeries to address issues such as ear tube placement, cochlear implants, and repairing ear drum perforations.

Nose and Sinus Conditions

They manage conditions related to the nose and sinuses, such as chronic sinusitis, nasal congestion, nasal polyps, deviated septum, and allergic rhinitis. Surgical procedures like septoplasty and sinus surgery may be recommended when necessary.

KIDNEY TRASPLANTATION

Evaluation and selection of suitable kidney donors and recipients. Pre-transplant assessments and compatibility testing. Living donor and deceased donor transplant procedures. Minimally invasive laparoscopic donor nephrectomy.

TRANSPLANT SURGERY AND CARE

Advanced surgical techniques for kidney transplantation. Robotic-assisted and laparoscopic procedures. Post-transplant monitoring and follow-up care.

RENAL TRANSPLANT EVALUTION AND WORKUP

Comprehensive medical and surgical evaluations for potential transplant candidates. Diagnostic testing, including blood work, imaging, and biopsies. Evaluation of transplant suitability and consideration of alternative treatments.
